Suits & Formalwear
Drycleaning
Careful cleaning for suits, formalwear and delicate fabrics that need proper handling. Every garment is inspected, cleaned to its specific care label, then pressed and hung ready to wear — the way drycleaning has been done at our Holloway Road counter since 1977.
Why Choose This Service
What you get with Drycleaning
Fabric-Safe Cleaning
Solvents and settings matched to each fabric, so delicate weaves, linings and trims stay intact. Wool, silk, velvet and structured tailoring are all treated differently, based on the care label and our own judgement of the garment in front of us.
Pressed & Finished
Every item is steam-pressed on the correct setting, buttons and trims checked, then hung on a proper hanger under a garment cover — not folded into a bag where creases set back in on the way home.
Ready in 48 Hours
Standard drycleaning is ready within two working days. If you need something back sooner — a suit for an interview, an outfit for a same-week event — ask at the counter about express turnaround.
Our Process
How drycleaning works at Chambio
From drop-off to hanger, every garment is tracked through four simple stages.
Inspect & Tag
Your garment is checked over for existing marks, loose buttons or trims, then tagged so it stays paired with your order throughout.
Match the Solvent
We read the care label and match the cleaning solvent, temperature and cycle to the fabric — wool, silk and synthetic blends are never treated the same way.
Clean & Press
Stains are pre-treated where possible before cleaning, then the garment is steam-pressed to its proper shape and finish.
Check & Hang
A final quality check before it goes on a hanger under a garment cover, ready for collection or doorstep delivery.

Questions
Drycleaning FAQs
How long does drycleaning take?
Standard turnaround is 48 hours (two working days). If you need it back faster, ask about express same-day drycleaning for items dropped off before midday.
Can you remove every stain?
Most fresh stains lift fully. Older or set-in marks aren't always guaranteed to disappear completely — we'll assess the garment at drop-off and let you know honestly what to expect before we start.
Do you dryclean wedding dresses and formalwear with delicate trims?
Yes. Beaded, sequinned or heavily embellished pieces take longer to process safely, so these are individually quoted and given extra handling time rather than run through a standard cycle.
Is collection and delivery available for drycleaning?
Yes — free collection and delivery is available across Highbury and Islington on orders over £35, six days a week.
