Specialist Care
Leather & Suede
Specialist conditioning and cleaning for leather jackets, bags and suede footwear. These fabrics need their own process, and that's exactly what they get on our bench — never run through a standard drycleaning cycle.
Why Choose This Service
What you get with Leather & Suede
Leather & Suede Specific
A separate process from regular drycleaning, using solvents and techniques suited to leather, suede and nubuck rather than woven fabric.
Conditioned, Not Just Cleaned
Leather is conditioned after cleaning to help keep it supple and prevent cracking, rather than being left dry and stiff the way ordinary cleaning can leave it.
Jackets, Bags & Footwear
We take on jackets, coats, bags, gloves and suede boots — not just outerwear — assessing each piece for hide type and colour before treatment.
Our Process
How leather & suede care works at Chambio
A slower, more deliberate process than standard drycleaning, built around the hide.
Assess Hide & Colour
We identify the type of leather or suede and check for existing wear, colour loss or damage before starting.
Specialist Cleaning
Cleaned using solvents and methods designed specifically for leather and suede, not standard fabric cycles.
Recondition & Restore
A conditioning treatment is applied to help keep the leather supple, with colour touch-up available where needed.
Finish & Inspect
A final check for texture, colour and shape before your item is ready to collect.

Questions
Leather & Suede FAQs
How long does leather & suede cleaning take?
Longer than standard drycleaning, as each piece is assessed and treated individually. We'll give you an accurate timeframe when we look at your item at drop-off.
Can you fix faded or worn colour on a leather jacket?
In many cases, yes. Colour restoration is assessed and quoted separately, since the result depends on the leather type and how much fading has occurred.
What's the difference between suede and nubuck cleaning?
Both are treated with specialist methods rather than standard drycleaning, but the exact approach differs by nap and finish — we'll identify which you have and treat it accordingly.
Do you clean sheepskin or shearling?
Yes, sheepskin and shearling pieces are assessed individually, as with all our leather and suede work, given how varied these hides can be.
